Heating element - Tubular Electric Heaters
TEN (tubular electric heaters) for a water heater are used to heat water in a storage tank. It is a hollow tube made of copper.
The ends of this tube are fixed to the flange. The nichrome thread located inside acts as a conductor. It is covered with a heat-conducting electrical insulator, which is most often magnesium oxide.
As a result of the passage of electric current, the thread heats up and transfers the generated heat to the tube, which, in turn, heats the water.
